Examinations are not a preparation for life; they were devised to be a sorting system by which colleges picked from schools and employers picked from colleges. Over the past 100 years,it has become very clear that they are a poor indicator of human ability. Educational institutions must go back to their roots, their purpose, which was enabling learning, not preparing individuals.

Performance in examination does not define future outcomes. Pursuing passions and interests, on the other hand, does give a glimpse into the many directions learner's lives may take.
